Wizarding World Digital launches app and website

15th October 2019

The new Wizarding World app, a Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts mobile companion, and interactive website went live last week.

Our friends at Wizarding World Digital, a joint venture between Pottermore and Warner Bros., recently launched the Wizarding World app and WizardingWorld.com as the new online home of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. They also launched the Official Harry Potter Fan Club, which people can access by registering for a Wizarding Passport. Meanwhile, Pottermore Publishing continues as the global digital publisher of Wizarding World titles.

WizardingWorld.com builds on what fans were offered through pottermore.com – with an extended range of original content and interactive experiences. The new Wizarding World app, currently available to fans in the US, and a select number of other territories, lets users take part in the reimagined Sorting Ceremony to discover which Hogwarts house they belong to – it features J.K. Rowling’s original Sorting questions and a new augmented reality Sorting Hat. A new fanzine called ‘Wizarding Weekly’ will land every Wednesday in the app alongside fresh content, including videos and interactive quizzes.

Through both app and website, fans will be able to join The Official Harry Potter Fan Club for free by creating a Wizarding Passport. Member benefits include the Official Fan Club newsletter and the opportunity to enhance membership by purchasing Wizarding World Gold.

Wizarding World Gold is an annual paid subscription that will unlock early access, exclusive benefits and enhanced experiences. It is currently on offer to UK and US fans and is available for pre-order now. It will allow you to take the magic of J.K. Rowling with you wherever you go with all seven eBooks of the original Harry Potter stories accessible for the duration of your subscription. The subscription also includes access to the Wizarding World Originals exclusive video series, a host of perks including discounts at Wizarding World shops and priority booking for Wizarding World events and locations, and a magical welcome gift including a personalised, interactive Keys and Curios journal. More information on Wizarding World Gold can be found here: WizardingWorld.com/about-gold.

So, download the Wizarding World app or head over to the website to register for your Wizarding Passport!
