Everyone at Pottermore Publishing works towards one goal: to share the magic of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World with current and future generations of fans through global, multi-language digital publishing. Although we work across an incredibly broad range of disciplines – from marketing, to finance and production, there is a huge sense of collaboration, respect and shared purpose. The breadth and blend of all our talents is our superpower and we enjoy learning from and being with each other.
Pottermore Publishing is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace where all talent and potential is valued. We welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives and recognise the value that this adds to our business.
We’re excited by innovation and imagination and we problem-solve creatively through sharing and developing ideas. When you work at Pottermore Publishing, you’ll be encouraged to challenge, ask big questions, come up with creative answers, be heard, and expand your horizons.
You’ll contribute to our collective success by working collaboratively, offering ideas and suggestions and playing your part in shaping, nurturing and growing the most imaginative and engaging brands for generations to come. You’ll feel like a valued member of our team and live our values: Expertise, Partnership, Integrity and Creativity.
What’s the office like?
Our office is open plan and full of natural light. It’s a collaborative space with several break out areas to host meetings, do quiet work or take a break. We also have multiple meeting rooms to host clients, team catch ups or 1-1s.
What are the working hours?
Our normal working hours are 9:30AM-6:00PM with a 1 hour lunch break.
How do we communicate with each other?
We use various tools to keep in touch with our team members including Outlook, Zoom, Slack and Teams. We pride ourselves on using tools that make our lives easier and processes more efficient; there’s BambooHR to manage onboarding, holiday and sickness and Clear Review to document performance feedback.
How do we develop our employees?
We are passionate about developing our teams and committed to supporting them on their journey with us. To enable that, we encourage frequent dialogue between employees and managers. Quarterly check ins are managed through Clear Review and we embrace a culture of feedback. We offer plenty of training and learning opportunities and our teams are very generous in sharing their knowledge and expertise.
Our pioneering programme, Experience Works, puts students in the job for a week.
