About us

Find out more about who we are, what we’ve done and what the future holds.

Pottermore Publishing is the global digital publisher of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series, as well as other audiobooks and eBooks from the Wizarding World™. Our aim is innovative digital publishing that brings those stories to life and attracts a new generation of readers. We work with global eBook and audiobook retailers to celebrate the world that first began with the Boy Who Lived.

A sample of Pottermore publications

Launched in 2012, our range of titles and languages has grown in each subsequent year, making Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts books available through smartphones, smart speakers, tablets and eReaders, whenever and wherever anyone wants to read or hear the magic.

We work with online retailers and distributors throughout the world, offering extensive marketing and account management support that has helped grow our sales year on year.

Our original eBook and audiobook ranges have been translated into many different language editions, broadening global access to our titles. During the period from 2016 to 2018 we brought 27 new languages and close to 250 new product editions to market across our ranges and formats.

In 2016, we published the digital edition of the playscript Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in 24 languages, the Pottermore Presents eBook shorts, and the screenplay of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

This was followed in 2017, with the first ever audio edition of the Hogwarts Library book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them with bespoke foley design from Pinewood Studios and binaural audio, an industry-leading, motion-designed Kindle in Motion edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and three brand new eBooks accompanying the British Library’s exhibition – Harry Potter: A History of Magic.

2018 saw the introduction of yet more languages across both eBook and audio formats, including Icelandic and Arabic, the first audiobook edition of the Hogwarts Library book Quidditch Through the Ages, and the screenplay of the second Fantastic Beasts movie, The Crimes of Grindelwald.

With much more in store for 2019 and beyond, be sure to check back regularly for updates, and feel free to get in touch with us if you’d like to work with Pottermore Publishing.
