As the countdown to 10th November and the publication of the full-cast audio edition of Harry Potter und der Stein der Weisen begins, we can exclusively reveal the first members of the cast.
In May, we announced alongside our co-producers Audible that Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions would be published in German. Following the global success of the English-language editions, these brand-new productions will be brought to life by more than 150 German voice actors, with the first audiobook releasing on 10th November 2026, followed by the remaining seven stories on a monthly cadence.
From acclaimed actors to exciting new talent, the audiobooks feature a powerhouse cast who have recorded more than 2,000 hours to date. These remarkable voices will be paired with high-quality sound design in Dolby Atmos, a stunning score, original music, and real-world sound capture to create a richly immersive listening experience.
Guiding audiences through the seven stories is Abak Safaei-Rad, who will serve as narrator. Daniel Brühl will lend his voice to Lord Voldemort, while Nina Hoss takes on the role of Professor McGonagall. We are also delighted to announce Armin Rohde as Rubeus Hagrid, Falilou Seck as Albus Dumbledore, and Robert Stadlober as Professor Snape.
The iconic Golden Trio will be voiced by two sets of actors across the seven books, as with the English-language editions. For Books 1–3, Niklas Ulonska, Ayla Uluçam, and Anton Schnermann will introduce audiences to Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley respectively. They are joined by Moritz Frickel as young Draco Malfoy, Eliot Neudeck as young Neville Longbottom, and Ella Reithmeier as young Ginny Weasley.
Fans will also be delighted to hear Felix von Manteuffel, one of the original single-voice narrators of the German Harry Potter audiobooks, voice Garrick Ollivander. Further cast highlights include Matthias Matschke as Professor Quirrell.
These brand-new productions will sit alongside the iconic and hugely successful German-language single-voice editions by Rufus Beck and Felix von Manteuffel, which have delighted audiences since their release and will continue to do so for years to come.
Production is well under way for these unabridged editions and fans will soon find themselves whisked away to the wizarding world upon their very first listen. All seven books are available to pre-order on Audible now.
