Starting Harry Potter 2025

24th July 2025

A season of magic in full swing

Starting Harry Potter™ continuously invites a brand-new generation of fans to step through the doors of Hogwarts for the very first time by reading and/or listening to Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s / Sorcerer’s Stone. Running throughout June and July, the campaign was designed to engage younger readers and and turn them into life-long fans by igniting their curiosity.

The first Harry Potter story isn’t just a book, it’s the start of an unforgettable journey. For many readers, it’s their first taste of the wizarding world and the adventures of Harry, Ron and Hermione. Our goal was to encapsulate the importance of this friendship in the books and spark a love for the stories – for what child doesn’t want to imagine a school where you learn magic instead of maths!

To bring the campaign to life, we partnered with our design agency, La Plage, to create a fresh and vibrant creative toolkit. At its heart was a brand-new illustration of Harry, joined by his trusty friends Ron and Hermione, standing outside Hogwarts and surrounded by vivid and high saturated colours that radiate summer energy! Our marketing assets could be seen deployed across multiple digital, social and CRM touchpoints globally.

We also created some activity sheets encouraging children to dive deeper into the wizarding world as they read and listened, further developing their engagement and sparking their imagination. These sheets included activities like spot the difference and character crossword and were used by our major library partners and their local libraries.

This campaign wouldn’t have been possible without the support of all our participating partners, so a big thank you to all those who helped make Starting Harry Potter 2025 a standout success.

And the excitement is not over yet! There’s still time to keep the magic going and invite fans into the wizarding world with Back to Hogwarts fast approaching.
