Introducing Starting Harry Potter

19th July 2022

Our new tentpole encourages children to discover the wizarding world for the first time

New for 2022, Starting Harry Potter encourages younger readers and listeners (ages 7+) to begin their Wizarding World™ journeys with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s/Sorcerer’s Stone

In partnership with the publishers of Harry Potter, WizardingWorld.com has launched an online hub, perfect for children looking for a magical adventure this summer and beyond. Visitors can find a whole host of exciting content added weekly, including story-led quizzes, craft activities and even a Trap Door Trial where you have to put Fluffy to sleep (just like Harry, Ron and Hermione!)

The hub is also the official home to insight and information about the stories, whether budding wizards and witches want to learn more about characters or how to pronounce unfamiliar terms. To help them get started, the iconic first chapter, The Boy Who Lived, is available to read or listen to for a limited time.

To celebrate, from 1st July through to 15th August, the whole of the first Harry Potter audiobook is also available to stream for free on Alexa from Audible in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese, just by saying: “Alexa, read Harry Potter Book One” in the respective language.

Five TikTok creators will also be sharing their experiences of starting the stories with their families and there will be a Starting Harry Potter takeover on WizardingWorld.com for the month of July as well.

Visit the Starting Harry Potter hub through this link and keep any eye on Wizarding World’s social channels for more information.
