From today, all seven audiobooks are available to pre-order exclusively on Audible – and with the stellar cast being revealed, the countdown to 4th November feels more exciting than ever.
We announced today, with our co-production partner Audible, an all star-line up for the upcoming full-cast editions of the Harry Potter series which will bring J.K. Rowling’s stories to life like never before. Together, these voices, enriched by high-quality sound design in Dolby Atmos, stunning scoring, original music and real-world sound capture will offer a truly immersive audio experience. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone will debut on Tuesday 4th November 2025, with the following six books releasing in a monthly cadence and the best news is that all seven books are available to pre-order now!
Casting was completed in early 2025 and over 200 actors have been confirmed for 500+ roles, making this the most ambitious audiobook cast ever assembled. From high profile actors to fresh new talent, these audiobooks boast a powerhouse cast who have logged over 2,000 recording hours to date! Today we are excited to announce: Hugh Laurie as Albus Dumbledore, Matthew Macfadyen as Lord Voldermort, Riz Ahmed as Professor Snape, Michelle Gomez as Professor McGonagall, and Cush Jumbo OBE is the narrator.
The iconic ‘Golden Trio’ will be voiced by two sets of actors across the seven books. For books 1-3 Frankie Treadaway, Max Lester, and Arabella Stanton will introduce us to the characters of Harry, Ron and Hermione respectively and the beginning of Harry’s unforgettable journey, before Jaxon Knopf, Rhys Mulligan, and Nina Barker-Francis assume the roles, carrying us through books 4-7 to the epic conclusion.
The brand-new productions will sit aside the iconic and hugely successful single-voice English language editions by Jim Dale and Stephen Fry. Both of which have delighted audiences since their release in 1999, and we have no doubt will continue to enchant generations of new listeners for years to come.
Production is almost wrapped for these unabridged editions and fans will soon feel themselves whisked away to the wizarding world upon their very first listen. With additional cast members to be announced over the coming months fans have much to look forward to before November…
