Once again, Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws, Slytherins and Gryffindors celebrate their House Pride in style.
At Pottermore, we know that new readers and listeners as well as long-standing fans love to shout about their Hogwarts house, whether they be Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. That’s why we couldn’t wait to celebrate House Pride with our retail and library partners for the second year running, connecting with fans and driving them back to the stories.
With the release of our latest title, From the Wizarding Archive, our marketing assets brought readers to the treasure trove of information they can find out about their house… like how Professor McGonagall was almost a Ravenclaw or the location of the Hufflepuff Common Room in Hogwarts. Our assets were complemented by never-seen-before illustrations of Draco Malfoy and Cedric Diggory, both true embodiments of their respective houses.
There were also two dedicated assets heroing the Sorting Hat’s song from The Goblet of Fire. The enchanted Sorting Hat, of course, famous for its ability to sort first-year Hogwarts students into their new houses and as integral to a young witch or wizard’s introduction to Hogwarts as the Hogwarts Express. Scroll down to take a listen to Stephen Fry’s iconic narration, describing the well-known traits of each house… brave, clever, hard working or ambitious, there’s certainly something to be said for each house.
We had a wonderful take-up from multiple partners in March for House Pride 2025, building on the success of last year and bridging the gap between our Christmas and summer campaigns. The charm of house pride is that it can be celebrated any day of the year, in fact, there’s never a bad time to celebrate. So get involved!
