New Voices Unveiled for the Highly Anticipated Harry Potter™: The Full-Cast Audio Editions

10th September 2025

Following the first cast announcement made in early August, we, along with our co-production partner Audible, are thrilled to add even more talent to the powerhouse ensemble.

As if we weren’t excited enough already, today we are unveiling the cast for some of Hogwarts’ most iconic professors – Kit Harington as Professor Lockhart; Keira Knightley as Professor Umbridge; Iwan Rheon as Professor Lupin; and Gemma Whelan as Professor Sprout. We’ve no doubt these actors will delight fans by bringing the corridors and classrooms of Hogwarts to life! But the fun doesn’t stop there – Ruth Wilson, Ambika Mod, Leo Woodall, Simon Pegg, James McAvoy, and Matt Berry will be filling the roles of fan-favourites Bellatrix Lestrange, Nymphadora Tonks, Bill Weasley, Arthur Weasley, Mad-Eye Moody, and Sir Cadogan, respectively.

James McAvoy has said, “I am absolutely thrilled to bring the fiercely determined Mad-Eye Moody to life in these dynamic audio editions from Pottermore and Audible. He’s a layered character, constantly shifting between battle-hardened intensity and unexpected moments of wisdom. Capturing his commanding presence was incredibly fun.”

And Leo Woodall has said, In creating Bill Weasley’s adventures through voice, it is genuinely special to be part of bringing this world to life in a new way for listeners. From the stellar cast to the immersive sound world that Pottermore and Audible have put together, listeners everywhere will be given a new way to be transported directly into these celebrated stories.”

We also announced on Back to Hogwarts day earlier this month, the roles of Hagrid, Lucius Malfoy, Dobby, and The Patil twins will be filled by Mark Addy, Alex Hassell, Daniel Mays, and Sara & Avni Deshmukh

Additional cast members will be announced this Autumn, with the first instalment of these brand-new productions arriving soon after. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone will release on 4th November, with the next stories rolling out monthly. All seven stories are available to pre-order on Audible now!

Captivating performances from A-list actors is not all fans have to look forward to – these new audiobooks will also feature immersive audio entertainment through high-quality sound design in Dolby Atmos, stunning scoring, original music, and real-world sound capture. So, mark your calendars and get ready to experience the Harry Potter stories by J.K. Rowling like never before…
