On 3rd February 2026 we saw the Dutch release of From the Wizarding Archive on Storytel, one of the three languages we have produced together.
We’re delighted to share that From the Wizarding Archive is now available in Dutch, Danish and Swedish on Storytel, bringing even more listeners into the magical depths of the wizarding world. The title is a thematically curated collection of 80 articles and anecdotes written by J.K. Rowling, offering fans a fascinating window into the creative process, imagination and backstory behind the Harry Potter series. Following the 2024 audio releases of English, German, French, Italian and Spanish, we’re thrilled to continue expanding the reach of this magical audiobook, this time as a co-production with Storytel.
The audiobooks feature an exclusive foreword written by Harry Potter film actor Evanna Lynch, enchanting sound design and spellbinding original music. These are the first titles on Storytel to be enhanced with Dolby Atmos, creating an immersive sound experience like no other! The Dutch edition launched earlier this month on 3rd February 2026, joining Swedish and Danish, which both arrived on Storytel last October. The titles allow fans of the series across the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden who have finished all seven Harry Potter books a chance to curb any curiosities about wizarding customs, character backstories and the inspirations behind the world building.
The releases also boast an impressive line-up of narrators in their markets:
Each voice brings their own magic to the stories, helping the archive come vividly to life. Check out Swedish narrator Hanna Ardéhn taking part in a Harry Potter-themed quickfire ‘this or that’ below…
But that’s not the only exciting update from Storytel. The platform has recently introduced StoryArt – a brand-new visual feature for select titles with illustrations that appear in the app as you listen, adding a beautiful visual layer to the audio experience. Listeners in the Netherlands can enjoy this now, with imagery that features beautiful scenes, key characters and magical beasts.
The release of the Dutch, Danish and Swedish editions on Storytel marks another step in making From the Wizarding Archive accessible to an ever-growing global audience. With new features and a truly immersive soundscape, there’s never been a better time to discover the secrets of the wizarding world!
